Because the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannok device®, can only approximate your true shoe size. Please also keep in mind that sizing may vary slightly between manufacturers.
Make sure you are standing and wearing the socks or stockings you will wear with your new shoes or boots. Place your heel against a straight edge. Place a ruler beside your foot and measure from the straight edge at your heel to the tip of your longest toe. Using one of the following charts, convert your inch or centimeter measurement to your shoe size.
Note: It's very common for one foot to be slightly larger than the other. Be sure to measure both feet and use the larger size to ensure comfort.
Properly fit boots should be snug in the instep, arch and ball of foot. Heel slippage is normal for a good fit. Boots will ‘break in’ and conform to your foot.

This is the men's 11" Western Bay Brown/Steel Cut Oat Composite Toe Durango® Maverick XPâ¢. This style features full-grain leather, a soft mesh lining and the Durango® X-Pand System⢠which is a hidden gore expansion on the inside medial seam for a universal fit and easy on/off. It also has the Durango X-Treme Comfort footbed with Memory Foam for all day comfort and support and a fiberglass shank for lightweight stability The midsole is dual-density with a firmer shock absorbing heel for added stability and a soft shock absorbing forepart for ultimate flexibility and comfort. The rolled shank area and anti-torsion ridged external shank provides added lateral stability and the outsole is multi-durometer rubber with high abrasion outer lugs for high impact durability and softer durometer mid lugs for added flexibility and increased slip and oil resistance. It has a double row sole stich around the square toe for added durability and a 1 ½" rocker heel. These boots are compliant with the ASTM F2413 Protective Toe Classification and the ASTM F2413 Electrical Hazard Standard.
